Debora Good Joins Fuentek as Technology Transfer Consultant

APEX, N.C. –Laura A. Schoppe, president of Fuentek, announced that Debora Good has joined Fuentek as a technology transfer consultant. In this position, Good studies new technologies, identifies those with promise and then contacts applicable companies to determine commercial potential for use of those technologies. She has already successfully secured a commercial license for a NASA-developed battery power limiting technology.

Bringing 13 years of experience to Fuentek, Good also helps clients improve their effectiveness by matching their needs with the best new technologies. Prior to joining Fuentek, Good worked with a number of technology companies, including Square D Company (where she invented a patented technology), Siemens, Nortel and Tyco Electronics. Good is a member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ Power and Energy Society and previously chaired the Power and Energy Society’s local chapter.

About Debora Good:
Debora Good has 1 year in IP management and more than 13 years of electrical engineering experience involving power systems, including telecommunications power, busway systems, and low voltage and high voltage switchgear. This extensive engineering background has provided Ms. Good with proven skills in competitive analysis, research and development, and account management. She also excels in leading teams, conducting technical product trainings, managing projects, and bringing new products to market. In her former position as technical consultant with Tyco Electronics Power Systems, Ms. Good was instrumental in helping the company increase sales by 120 percent in a $24 million territory. Ms. Good holds one patent, is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and was formerly Chairman of the IEEE Power Engineering Society. She holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University.
