Fuentek Organizes NASA Goddard's 3rd Technology Transfer Investment Workshop

 
 

Working with NASA Goddard's Office of Technology Transfer (OTT), Fuentek has organized and will be running the OTT's next Technology Transfer Investment Workshop. This upcoming workshop, entitled “The Innovator’s Solution,” will be held September 23, 2005, (8:30 am–noon) at the Marriot Hotel in Greenbelt, MD. This is the third seminar in the series on forming high-impact partnerships for technology spin-out. (Fuentek also coordinated the OTT's second seminar.)

This seminar proudly features special guest speaker Michael Raynor, coauthor of the highly acclaimed book, “The Innovator’s Solution,” and a Director with Deloitte Research.

Michael Raynor is an expert in innovation strategy and will be discussing tactics for researchers, managers, and tech transfer professionals on the build versus buy decision; introducing disruptive technologies; and the value of adding options and features early in the process for increasing flexiblity.

His book, “The Innovator’s Solution,” co-authored with Harvard Business School professor Clayton M. Christensen, has been named on several top 10 lists and has even been named the “Best Strategy Book of the Year” by Booz Allen Hamilton.

Mr. Raynor holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from the Harvard Business School in Boston, MA. In addition to working as a strategic thinker with Deloitte Research, Mr. Raynor teaches innovation management at the Richard Ivey School of Business.   • How to identify a technology’s strengths and weaknesses

  • How to find funding and resources to accelerate technology development
