Laura A. Schoppe Participates in Venture Capital Investment Competition at Kenan-Flagler Business School

Fuentek President Acts as Judge in UNC-Chapel Hill Undergraduate Competition

APEX, N.C. – Fuentek, LLC, a consulting firm that provides intellectual property and technology management services, has announced that Laura A. Schoppe, president of the firm, was a judge in the 2008 Undergraduate Venture Capital Investment Competition (uVCIC) at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on March 29.  Each student team in the competition played the role of a venture capital firm that must go through the entire capital investment process in a condensed period of time.  The teams are evaluated by judges on their interactions with entrepreneurs, as well as their negotiations and question and answer sessions with the entrepreneur of their choice.

“I am honored to have served as a judge for the uVCIC,” said Schoppe.  “This competition is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to receive practical experience as venture capitalists.”
