The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they runworldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars.” (New York Post, April 27, 2005). Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced during a gala event at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Monday, November 12. Nominated executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries are expected to attend. More than 800 entries were submitted for consideration in over 40 categories. Fuentek, LLC was selected as a finalist in Best Entrepreneur (Service Businessesup to 100 employees), Best Overall Company of the Year (Service Businessesup to 100 employees), Most Innovative Company of the Year (up to 100 employees), and the Fastest Growing Company of the Year. Fuentek’s unique matrix-style structure, innovative use of technology, and life-friendly work culture have contributed significantly to its success and led to this recognition as a Stevie Award finalist. Achieving that status in four categories is exceptional and due entirely to Laura Schoppe, founder and president of Fuentek, who has not only created this successful Fuentek culture but also led the company through the highly competitive technology/intellectual property (IP) management field to win several large and sought-after contracts. Finalists for the Stevies were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging. “Being named a Finalist in The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an important achievement,” said Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards. “It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of recognition.” “To be chosen as a Finalist in four categories is quite an honor,” said Ms. Schoppe. “We’re a small but growing company with a goal of providing outstanding service to our clients while also creating an exceptional working environment for our employees. Achieving Finalist status in the Stevies is indication that we’re moving in the right direction.” Details about The Stevie Awards for Women in Business and the list of finalists in all categories are available at www.stevieawards.com/women.
