Held Wednesday, May 22, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (EDT), the webinar will discuss "Open Innovation and Technology Scouting – Tools to Implement Problem Solving in Government Entities."
This webinar will describe open innovation generally as well as specifics of the federal market, including how to pick the right project, process and support, how success is defined, and the possible deal structures and relationships between the federal government and solution providers. The discussion will include real projects as case studies and a guide to tools and services that recently have become available to all agencies through NASA's Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation.
Schoppe has presented and written extensively on open innovation–related topics, beginning with papers at the 2005 and 2006 International Astronautical Congress.
"Open innovation has great potential to accelerate R&D, which is especially important as federal budgets are tightening," said Schoppe. "I look forward to sharing my experience and insights to help federal labs achieve success in today's environment of open innovation between all business sectors."
