RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Fuentek, LLC, one of the world’s leading intellectual property (IP) and technology transfer consulting firms, is pleased to announce that President, Laura Schoppe, and Senior Technology Transfer Consultant, Danielle McCulloch, will serve on two panels at the 2014 Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) Annual Meeting in San Francisco, February 19-22. The AUTM Annual Meeting provides a one-stop shop for industry leaders to efficiently network with a wide array of academic research institutions and for technology transfer professionals to learn about the latest trends and best practices in managing their institutions’ IP and other research and development (R&D) outcomes.

“We are looking forward to sharing our expertise at the AUTM meeting again this year,” said Laura Schoppe, president of Fuentek, LLC. “Our team strives for excellence in the industry, and this meeting is a great way for us to help university leaders from around the world capitalize on their R&D.”

Schoppe will serve as an invited panelist on Thursday, February 20, for “A Shifting View on Intellectual Property.” She will present proven methods for universities to attract R&D funding, including techniques for acquiring valuable competitive intelligence, effectively communicating with potential sponsors/partners, and successfully tapping into government funding opportunities.

McCulloch, will moderate a panel on Saturday, February 22, titled “Incentive Programs,” which explores the experiences at three universities that incorporated commercialization criteria into their promotion and tenure process. Prior to the start of the AUTM meeting, Fuentek invites all universities and colleges to fill-out a brief survey about incentivizing researcher participation in commercialization and partnerships. The results of this survey, which will close for submissions on February 12, will be presented by McCulloch during the panel, as well as posted on AUTM and Fuentek’s blogs. › Complete our survey here

In addition to leading discussions at AUTM, Fuentek will also meet with leaders at its booth (#207), located in the San Francisco Marriott Marquis Exhibit Hall. For more information on AUTM and the 2014 Meeting, please visit:
