APEX, N.C. – Fuentek, LLC, a technology consulting firm that provides intellectual property (IP) management and technology transfer services, has announced that the firm’s president, Laura Schoppe, will host a webinar for the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) discussing the latter group’s new Global Technology Portal on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at noon EST. The 1-hour webinar, titled "How to Market Your Technologies with the AUTM GTP," will focus on the functionality of the portal and showing participants how to leverage the GTP most successfully.

The AUTM Global Technology Portal is a website that aims to actively facilitate networking, partnership and licensing deals among corporations and universities. Designed to be a one-stop shop for corporations to find university technologies available for licensing, the portal also will enable collaboration by allowing corporations to easily search for universities with the capabilities that they need.

Schoppe, who serves on the AUTM board of directors as vice president of strategic alliances, played an instrumental role in the development of the GTP. The GTP is scheduled to launch in February 2012.
