RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Fuentek, LLC, one of the world’s leading intellectual property (IP) and technology transfer consulting firms, is pleased to announce they have received an Award of Merit from the Society for Technical Communication’s (STC) 2014 International Summit Awards for the development of a Georgia Tech Industry Research Collaborations brochure. STC hosts the International Summit Awards annually to evaluate and reward professional technical communication. It presents awards to entries that meet a set of high technical communication standards across numerous categories.

“We are extremely committed to the universities we partner with and strive to develop strategic marketing pieces that ensure they communicate effectively,” said Laura Schoppe, President of Fuentek, LLC. “It is an honor to be recognized by the Society for Technical Communication for the hard work and dedication our team put into this project.”

Fuentek created the award-winning brochure in order to explain a new “contract continuum” program to streamline the partnership process, making it easier for companies to collaborate with Georgia Tech on research. The brochure is used in many different meetings and presentations, and it has served as a catalyst for several promising collaborations.

The Society for Technical Communication seeks to advance the arts and sciences of technical communication, promote awareness of the latest trends and technologies and provide innovative services to its members. The STC competitions recognize technical publications, websites, help systems, training and other forms of technical communication. Each entry is judged based on the degree of technical content, achievement of the purpose of the entry and the technical execution of the entry.
