Pitching for Innovators:
Communicate at the Right Level for Any Audience
Are your organization's innovators talking effectively about their technology with prospective licensees, partners, and investors? Do they capture the audience's attention or do the listener's eyes glaze over? Before the next meeting, arm innovators with strategies that will help them communicate successfully to various audiences.
Communication is critical for success. For the best results, innovators should be able to identify the key factors that affect their invention's commercial potential and craft a message that shows how their technology fits into the marketplace.
This webinar teaches innovators how to build an effective communications strategy.
This 45-minute webinar provides practical advice that will help innovators learn how (and why!) to talk with potential licensees, partners, and investors about their technologies. Innovators will learn how to:
- Decode the jargon of the technology transfer community
- Identify opportunities for commercialization and collaboration
- Recognize how their innovation might fit into a particular market
- Effectively communicate and connect with potential partners
The webinar provides innovators with strategies to capture the attention of potential partners within the first few minutes of a conversation or presentation.
Led by Fuentek president Laura Schoppe, this webinar is peppered with case studies that illustrate how to describe technology in compelling language (better, faster, cheaper) and work with the different types of people that innovators will encounter at conferences, networking events, and luncheons – anywhere they might meet commercialization decision-makers.
More about the innovator's role in technology commercialization
As discussed extensively on our website, inventors bring unique perspective and expertise to any discussion about their technologies. But it’s important for innovators to understand the connections between innovation and commercialization so they can play an effective role. Simply put, an informed inventor is the best commercialization partner you can have.
This webinar helps innovators understand how to effectively communicate the value of their technologies with various audiences and why they need to convey this information to potential partners. Inventors play a key role in commercialization efforts. This webinar will help you ensure they are ready for the task.
