Centralized Tech Transfer Foundation for NC Public Universities and Colleges

Submitted to the North Carolina Innovation-to-Jobs Task Force, this paper summarizes in 1 page the concept of having a centralized foundation outside of the state university structure to own and manage its intellectual property. It also includes information gathered in 2012 concerning 10 similar foundations in Iowa, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Florida, Alabama, Utah, Washington, and Michigan.
